Safety guidelines

For students and families

• Confirm only volunteers who are marked Verified whenever possible.
• Speak to the volunteer by phone or in the in-app chat before exam day.
• Let a family member, friend or your institution know who your volunteer is and when the exam is.
• Agree on a meeting point near the exam centre.
• Never pay or promise anything to a volunteer. Report anyone who asks.

For volunteers

• Follow the exam centre's rules about scribes. Read the question paper exactly as written and write only what the student dictates.
• Do not give hints or help with answers. Do not share the question paper.
• Be punctual and arrive early. If you cannot come, withdraw as early as possible so another volunteer can be found.
• Do not ask for or accept money, gifts or personal favours.
• Keep the student's information confidential.
